Libido Events - Rope Burn

Saturday February 12, 2011  join Libido Events in welcoming the illustrious Max from Seattle to our Canadian corner of the world.  Max will be hosting three bondage events on this date.  Class times are all listed below, note that preregistration and payment is mandatory.  Classes are $25 for 1 or $70 for all three for members.  Membership is NOT required for the workshop, non members are an additional $5.

No prior knowledge of bondage or knots is assumed for these classes - it's perfectly appropriate for beginners. These classes also work well if you've already done some bondage and want to add to your technique.

You will need to bring a bag lunch.  Drinks & hand outs are provided. 

You can even opt to take part in our evening Play Party, for only $15 if you purchase your ticket at the same time as your bondage classes.

Hands and feet are deliciously sensitive areas of the body.  So are the head, face and scalp. This workshop explores various techniques for binding, restraining, stimulating and tormenting these areas - with rope, and with a few other bondage devices.

We'll cover hand and foot bondage - and you'll be surprised by how intense and immobilizing they can be.

We'll cover full head bondage - one of the most emotionally powerful types of bondage play. We'll talk about gags, hoods and nose hooks a bit too, and Max will bring several toys for show and tell.

And we'll touch on one of Max's favorites - hair bondage. Showing up with long hair is nice but it's NOT a requirement.

 

We'll be doing lots of demos but most of the workshop is hands-on, so bring your rope.

If you can, come with a practice partner. If you don't have a partner, come anyway and we'll make sure you get a chance to practice the basic techniques. Rope Bottoms - this is your chance to meet some rope tops - come learn and get tied up!

Some loaner rope will be available at the workshop, but bring the following if you can:

• (1) 15-foot piece of 4mm hemp or slippery synthetic
• (1) 20-foot piece of 4mm hemp or slippery synthetic

 

 

OK - enough with the wrists and ankles - let's tie up a different body part this time!

This workshop covers some particularly intimate, effective and sexy bondage techniques.

We'll start with the basics of immobilizing and tormenting boy-bits. There'll be a nice demo, information on cock and ball safety and some thoughts on how to adapt the techniques to your own situation.

Next Max will present a variety of techniques for binding, displaying and stimulating girl-bits - labia, clit and breasts. There'll be a demo for this portion too.

And then we'll all practice what we've learned, so bring your genitals and your friends with genitals.

As with all of Max's workshops, there's a handout you can use as a memory aid when you're practicing at home.

Much of the class will consist of hands-on exercises to help you get familiar with the material in a friendly, low-pressure environment. The emphasis is on learning, having fun, and building confidence. 

If you can, come with a practice partner. If you don't have a partner, come anyway - there'll be lots to watch and we'll try to set you up with a practice partner.  Rope Bottoms - this is your chance to meet some rope tops - come learn and get tied up!

Some rope will be provided for the workshop, but please bring two 15-20' pieces of 4 mm (1/8" or 3/16") cord if you can.

 

 

3.  Making Your Rope Scenes HOT - Using Rope to Create Headspace 4:30 - 6:00

We all start our learning with basic skills - how to perform the elements of a scene and how to master the tools we’ve chosen to use.  Rope tops learn knots, develop a few bondage positions and absorb a lot of safety information.

That’s not why we do scenes though – we do them because they’re engaging, powerful and HOT.

In this intimate setting, Max demonstrates how to move from restraint to dominance, and from basic skills to mastery.  Rope bondage is the context for this workshop, but many of the techniques are applicable to any scene.

We’ll start with a scene demonstrating the use of rope, voice, motion and affect to create headspace and establish mood.

After the opening scene Max discusses specific techniques you can incorporate to elicit the responses you want.  This isn’t a “how to tie knots” class, but there will be some time for hands-on practice and Q&A.

As with all of Max's workshops, a handout will be provided to facilitate your learning and retention.
